It’s Brian Henry, and I’m excited to share some news. After having now retired from The Coca-Cola Company, spent over five decades as a drummer/percussionist, and having created music and mixed out of my home studio for ten years, I’m pursuing a lifelong dream: opening a well-equipped, free-standing recording studio. Rhythm Ranch Recording is designed to be an open, welcoming space for musicians of all ages and backgrounds — a place where everyone feels at home and creativity thrives. Your songs. Your stories. Your ATL studio. For many, recording studios can seem exclusive or intimidating. My goal with Rhythm Ranch is to change that – make recording accessible and reinforce the joy of live collaboration! Working with renowned studio designer David Rochester of Nashville, I’ve created an 1,800 sq. ft. gem featuring a spacious live room with a 14-foot angled ceiling, a large open control room area that enhances interaction, two large isolation rooms, and an amp closet. The studio’s rustic, laid-back vibe is perfect for musical magic to flow naturally. We even have built-in cameras for livestreaming while recording, so artists can share their journey online in real time. Darryl’s Place-inspired “Saturday Night at The Rhythm Ranch” shows. A Mara Machine MCI JH-110 4-track tape machine will be delivered in April. Rhythm Ranch is for experienced and emerging musicians to find their sound and preserve it for generations.
