This isn't another drum circle or open jam.
The Timekeepers' Guild is a monthly gathering for artists who take drumming seriously—not because they're the fastest, loudest, or most experienced, but because they care about the craft and its role in music.
If you love talking drums, geeking out over grooves, exploring technique, discussing gear, learning from other players, hearing about new equipment, swapping stories from the stage and studio, learn from guest speakers, and becoming a better musician, you'll fit right in.
Every month we'll dive into a different aspect of drumming while building a community of dedicated drummers who challenge, encourage, and inspire one another.
Guild Hosts:
Brian Henry – Owner and visionary of The Rhythm Ranch and drummer with over 5 decades of playing. Currently playing with Spencer Scott Smith and The Cherokee Roses and the Southern Rhythm Revival band.
Cheney Brannon – Renowned ATL rock drummer, formerly of Collective Soul and has toured with John Corabi (Motley Crue), Gary Allan, and many other groups in his 42 years of drumming. Over the years, Cheney has taken up producing, recording, mixing, & mastering. He is very proud to be a serious student of drumming, equipment and history.
Paul Barrie - Closing in on 40 years as a professional drummer and 20 years as a drum educator, Paul enjoyed touring for 15 years with the Atlanta bands Donkey, and Cigar Store Indians. Paul Currently performs with Jackson County Line, Chris Stalcup and The Grange, and The Troubadour Project.
The first Chapter meeting starts, of course, with the SNARE and we expect it will take several meetings to begin to do the topic justice. For starters, we will listen to different snares in different recordings, talk about what makes a snare so special, dive into the different types of snares, and how to tune them to perfection. The next meeting will explore SNARE construction.

Every month, The Ranch opens its barn doors to young artist vocalists, guitar or piano players ages 15–21 for an inspiring session of original music, collaboration, and community. Giving emerging artists a supportive space to share their stories and song ideas, develop their craft, gain public performance confidence, hear feedback on their work, and connect with and learn from fellow youth musicians who are just as passionate about songwriting.
The series is hosted by Alex Boyer, a creative 16 year-old artist from Cumming, Georgia who eats and sleeps with his guitar.
This is not just another open mic. It is an event about growth, education and collaboration.
Each session will be attended by an educator or other professional who will offer insights on lyric writing, song structure and performance skills, and also provide constructive feedback on individual performances.
As an English teacher with 30+ years of classroom experience, George Seaman has analyzed, studied, and taught the intracacies of lyrical expression and how the union of ideas and content with structure and rhythm can help produce the perfect poem or song. George’s knowledge of composition and writing theory serves to remind him that the creative process, while elusive, is best executed when the artist values the role of revising and editing in bringing out the best a song has to offer. He considers himself to be a student of the singer-songwriter tradition, always looking for the next lesson to be learned in the songs of John Prine, Hayes Carll or Lucinda Williams (just to name a few!). His first studio album, Smile Back at the World, is scheduled to be released in September 2026.
Attendance is limited to 7 youth artists to ensure equal attention on each participant.
$30 participation fee.
Each artist will receive a .wav file of their performance, recorded on an analog Neve console.
